Georgia detects about 10 cases of delta plus COVID-19 variant

"Georgia confirmed about 10 cases of delta plus COVID-19 variant in the country," said Paata Imnadze, Deputy Head of the Georgian National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
Report's local bureau quotes him as saying that about 100% of the newly detected cases in Tbilisi and Batumi are delta strain. This figure accounts for 80% throughout Georgia.
The infectious disease specialist called on everyone to get vaccinated immediately.
