Azerbaijan's consolidated budget posts 5.1B manat surplus

Azerbaijan's treasury bodies executed more than 748,000 payment orders in January-July 2026, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance.

This is 11.6% less than in the same period last year.

According to the ministry, consolidated budget revenues amounted to 28.841 billion manat ($17 billion) in the seven months, while expenditures totaled 23.742 billion manat ($14 billion).

State budget revenues amounted to 23.594 billion manat ($13.9 billion), up 0.5% from a year earlier, while expenditures stood at 20.174 billion manat ($11.9 billion), up 1.2% year-on-year.

As a result, the consolidated budget recorded a surplus of 5.099 billion manat ($3 billion), while the state budget surplus amounted to 3.420 billion manat ($2 billion), down 3.3%.

During the reporting period, budget revenues included 11.474 billion manat ($6.7 billion) in receipts through the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, up 8.6% year-on-year and 8% above the forecast.

Receipts through the State Customs Committee amounted to 3.751 billion manat ($2.2 billion), up 4.5% from a year earlier and 0.1% below the forecast.

Receipts through the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy totaled 32.9 million manat ($19.4 million), up 22.3% year-on-year and 21.5% above the forecast.

Other receipts amounted to 427.8 million manat ($251.6 million), up 16% from the same period last year and 54.4% above the forecast.

Transfers from the State Oil Fund amounted to 7.490 billion manat ($4.4 billion), down 11.3% year-on-year and in line with the forecast.

Revenues from paid services of budget-funded organizations totaled 418.1 million manat ($245.9 million), down 14.3% year-on-year and 25.9% below the forecast.
