Georgia confirms over 4,000 new COVID-19 cases, 79 deaths

Over the past day, Georgia has confirmed 4,778 more coronavirus cases and 79 deaths, Report informs, citing the country's National Center for Disease Control and Public Health.
The number of coronavirus infections has risen to 549,811 people and the death toll has surged to 7,408.
Over the past day, the country documented 4,753 recoveries, taking their total number to 493,414 since the pandemic began.
To date, the number of active patients is 48,963.
