Erdogan: Türkiye to remove any obstacles to development of deposits

The reasons why Ankara’s opponents are arming the terrorists of the PKK and the Syrian offshoot of this bloody organization, as well as attempts to create a zone controlled by terrorists near the Turkish border, become more obvious against the background of the discovery of a large oil field near the mountains of Cudi and Gabar in the province of Sirnak, reads a publication by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with the discovery of a large oil field in the southeast of the country, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

The Turkish leader explained that this was the biggest oil field discovered in Türkiye during the formation of the Republic.

The politician noted that Türkiye is located in a strategically important region, where one of the world’s largest oil reserves is concentrated.

“Oil and gas are produced near the borders of Türkiye. However, our country did not use all the possibilities of natural resources for a long time,” Erdogan stated.

He said that certain circles, through the hands of terrorists, as well as through political destabilization and through large transnational companies, have long tried to prevent the development of deposits in the southeast of Anatolia. This is also the reason for the pressure on Turkish defense companies, which, in particular, produce UAVs that make it possible to effectively fight terrorists.

“We are determined to remove any obstacles to the development of domestic deposits that will serve the interests of Türkiye,” the head of state assured.

On May 2, the Turkish President announced the discovery of a large oil field in Sirnak province, which will produce 100,000 barrels of oil per day.
