WHO announces end of coronavirus pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic will end early next year, Report informs, citing Hans Kluge, the Regional Director for Europe at the World Health Organization (WHO).

“The worst scenario is over. We know more about the virus than in 2020 when it first began to spread,” Danish state broadcaster DR quoted the WHO official.

Kluge stressed that the virus would not disappear among the human population, but the need for restrictions will disappear by the indicated date. At the same time, he noted that this is only a forecast since so far, no one can say for sure how the situation will develop.
