US building oil refinery in Syria

The United States is building an oil refinery in the Al-Hasakah Governorate of Syria, Report informs with reference to the Syrian SANA news agency.
According to the agency, the plant's capacity will be 3,000 barrels per day.
The United States almost entirely controls Al-Hasakah, Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa Governorate in eastern and northeastern Syria. Since 2015, the US command has established nine military bases in the area. Four of them are located near the oil fields in Deir ez-Zor, and five more are in the neighboring Al-Hasakah, which is considered Syria's grain depot.
