Turkmenbashi, Alat ports hold joint maritime information exchange exercise

A joint practical exercise on information exchange in maritime transportation has been held at the international seaports of Turkmenbashi in Turkmenistan and Alat in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing Turkmenistan's State Customs Service.

The exercise aimed to improve the efficiency of cargo flow monitoring and strengthen cooperation among port services in the region.

Port control teams from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan participated in the exercise.

Particular attention was paid to developing international cargo traffic in the Caspian Sea, combating the illegal movement of goods and reducing related risks.

The exercise also focused on improving specialists' professional skills, operational information exchange and direct interaction between the Turkmenbashi and Alat international seaports.

Participants exchanged practical experience and improved their skills in analyzing accompanying cargo documents and conducting customs inspections of goods and vehicles.
