Hezbollah has stated that it does not intend to suspend military operations against Israel, despite a newly signed framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel.
According to Report, the statement was issued by Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem and published on the group's Telegram channel.
"We will continue resistance on the battlefield to expel the occupation. We did not leave the battlefield in the most difficult circumstances and we will not leave it," Qassem said.
He also described the Washington-brokered framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon as a "humiliation, disgrace, and abandonment of sovereignty."
Qassem said the agreement is "invalid" and called for implementation of provisions requiring Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory, referencing an Iranian-American memorandum of understanding. He added that Hezbollah would use "all necessary means" and international and Arab pressure to achieve this.
The agreement, announced in Washington, is intended to help end the conflict in Lebanon and includes provisions for the disarmament of Hezbollah.
Earlier, Qassem said that discussions on who may possess weapons in Lebanon would only take place after a full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
