Germany's transport minister faints during cabinet meeting

German Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder lost consciousness during a cabinet meeting in Berlin and was rushed to the hospital, DPA news agency wrote, citing cabinet spokesman Stefan Cornelius, Report informs.

According to Cornelius, Schnieder lost consciousness at the negotiating table. He later regained consciousness, but will undergo a medical examination for safety reasons. Schnieder was unable to attend the cabinet group photo.

According to the newspaper Bild, acute cardiovascular failure was the cause of his hospitalization.
