Members of the former Afghan government delegation involved in negotiations in Doha with representatives of the Taliban who seized power in the country have asked for temporary asylum in Qatar, according to Pahjwok news agency, Report informs referring to TASS.
The former Afghanistan government delegation in Qatar has sought asylum in Doha until the inception of an inclusive government in Afghanistan, according to the report.
Consultations in Doha between the delegation of the former government and representatives of the Taliban have been held since September 2020, they were repeatedly interrupted and have recently resumed.
