SOCAR plant produces 187,000 tons of propylene annually

SOCAR's Ethylene-Polyethylene Plant produces 187,000 tons of propylene, 190,000 tons of ethylene and 120,000 tons of polyethylene annually, Report informs.

The figures were announced during a media tour of the plant.

The facility's Polimir-120 unit, which produces high-pressure polyethylene, has an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons. The unit produces low-density polyethylene (LDPE).

The plant's energy facilities also generate steam and electricity. The section has a steam production capacity of 480 tons per hour and an electricity generation capacity of 68 MW.
