EU says stronger US coordination against Russian aggression is result of Brussels' efforts

Closer coordination between Washington and European allies in countering Russian aggression is the result of deliberate efforts by Brussels, particularly European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Report informs, citing EU spokesperson Olof Gill.

According to Gill, remarks by former US President Donald Trump suggesting that Ukraine could regain control over occupied territories with Western support were viewed positively in Brussels and seen as a reflection of EU diplomatic efforts.

He reaffirmed that the European Union's position remains unchanged: it fully supports Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
