Hajiyev: Mine threat seriously limiting pace of restoration work in liberated territories

In the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, mine threats continue to pose significant constraints to the pace of restoration work, Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, said at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that a significant portion of the territories remains mined after years of conflict, directly impacting the progress of construction and infrastructure projects: "Because of this, some construction work is progressing more slowly."
Hajiyev noted that demining is a key component of the restoration process in the liberated territories.
He added that demining work is being carried out by both public and private entities.
