Azerbaijan Railways talks on progress of work on Barda-Agdam railway line

On the Barda-Agdam railway line, construction work has been completed by 44%. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2023, spokesperson for Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Natavan Bayramova said during a media tour to Agdam, Report informs.

She noted that the length of the Barda-Agdam railway line is 47.1 km.

As part of the project, it is planned to build Barda, Kocharli, Tezekend and Agdam stations, three bridges, one overpass, 23 intersections, 47.1 km of communication and marking systems and about 127 artificial engineering structures.

She added that artificial engineering structures include three bridges, one overpass, two crossings for animals, 88 water pipes and 33 spare crossings: “The construction of the railway line is being carried out in parallel with the demining process, so far 13 km of the territory have been cleared of mines, Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) issued a certificate for 5 km of territory.”
