Two new enterprises to start operating in Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park

The design works have been completed at the enterprises for the production of sulfate acid LLC Azersulfate and for the production of glass containers CJSC Glassica, the foundations of which were laid by President Ilham Aliyev in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park under the Economy Ministry. The construction and installation work is currently underway.

Report informs with reference to the ministry, the import of equipment has begun, which will be used in production activities. German technologies will be used in Glassica and Chinese technologies in Azersulfate.

The investment value of the Glassica enterprise is $12 million, of which $7 million has already been allocated for the project. The construction and installation work is 75% completed.

The investment cost of the plant to be built within the framework of the project for the production of sulfate acid by Azersulfat LLC is $6 million. At the moment, the company has invested $2.9 million, the work is completed by 60%.

Over 200 permanent jobs will be created at these enterprises. The enterprises are planned to be commissioned in the first half of next year. The enterprises for the production of sulfuric acid and glass containers will play a significant role in import substitution and increasing export opportunities.
