Currently, the epidemiological situation related to coronavirus in Azerbaijan is controlled and stable, Tayyar Eyvazov, an infectious disease specialist at the Ministry of Health, told Report.
According to him, the number of new cases is minimal: "The number of active patients is very low, accounting for a small proportion of all infections. However, we must not forget that the pandemic is not over, and the virus has the potential to mutate enough to cause a new wave of spread. We are witnessing this, and the re-spread of one of these strains is not excluded."
