Heat aggravates the course of coronavirus and other diseases, said Andrey Tyazhelnikov, chief freelance specialist in primary healthcare for the adult population of the Moscow Department of Health, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.
He said that it is more dangerous to contract the virus in the heat since there are risks of hypothermia and decreased immunity. For this reason, the body becomes more vulnerable to viruses and bacteria.
The doctor also noted that COVID patients need to pay special attention to the room temperature so that it is at a comfortable level. It is necessary to ventilate the room and do wet cleaning regularly, he added.
