Important decisions adopted at Global South Youth Platform meeting

Important decisions concerning the organization's activities and priority areas of international cooperation were adopted during the 1st official meeting of the Global South Youth Platform.
Report informs that the Baku Initiative Group organized a conference titled "Global South Youth Platform: The Role of Youth in Urban Planning during Decolonization" as part of the meeting.
As a result of the event, Bonaire, Saint Martin, Senegal and Egypt joined the platform, bringing the total number of member countries to 20. The platform is expected to continue expanding.
Participants emphasized the importance of establishing sustainable and effective cooperation among members of the platform.
In addition, priority areas and a plan for the organization's further activities were defined. During the discussions, special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation mechanisms among young people from member countries and developing this interaction at the institutional level.
Expanding cooperation with international organizations and civil society institutions was identified as one of the platform's main priorities. It was noted that this would help strengthen its international standing, expand youth participation in global decision-making processes, and implement joint projects and initiatives.
