Tawuniya: Azerbaijan's insurance sector enters AI era

Azerbaijan's insurance sector is entering the era of artificial intelligence (AI), Yosef Alshabrami, Director of Direct Sales at Saudi Arabia's Tawuniya company, commercial arbitrator, and goodwill ambassador of the Chartered Insurance Institute, stated during the 11th Azerbaijan International Insurance Forum (AIIF-2026) in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that Azerbaijan is making significant progress in digital transformation:

"If I am not mistaken, following the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence Strategy covering 2025–2028, the field of digital services and financial technologies is developing very rapidly. AI can also add value to the insurance industry. The main opportunity now is to expand the use of this technology in the insurance sector. Therefore, I believe that in the coming years Azerbaijan will achieve very serious progress in this area."
