International conference participants visit Karabakh regions

Participants of the international conference "Cultural and ethnic diversity: Lessons from history, contemporary challenges," held in Shusha on July 6, have visited various parts of Karabakh, Report informs.
The conference was attended by civil society representatives from 10 countries, including Azerbaijan, the United States, France, Lithuania, Poland, Czechia, Germany, Israel, Türkiye and Georgia.
On July 5, the participants visited the Khojaly Genocide Memorial Complex. They later traveled to Lachin, where they viewed the destruction caused during the occupation and observed restoration and reconstruction work being carried out in the city.
On July 6, the conference participants visited Victory Park in Khankandi.
A panel discussion titled "Modern forms of colonialism: Actions bringing tragedy, slavery and suffering to peoples" was also held during the conference. Representatives of various peoples spoke at the panel about their history, national identity, the challenges they face and their expectations for the future.
