Azerbaijan’s spending on sugar imports up by 19%

In January-February 2024, Azerbaijan imported sugar and sugar confectionery worth $33.938 million, 19.1% more compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan also exported $2.223 million worth of sugar and sugar confectionery, showing a 3.4-fold decline compared to a year ago.
In two months, the imports of sugar and confectionery made up 1.39% of the total imports of Azerbaijan, and the exports made up 0.05% of the total exports.
