Zelenskyy approves new Security Service operations

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he has approved new operations by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) aimed at weakening Russia and instructed the agency to continue efforts to purge its internal ranks.

According to Report, Zelenskyy said in a post on his Telegram channel that he had heard information on operations against Russian forces, reviewed the security service's recent activities, and approved new operations.

"Today, I approved new operations. Oleksandr Poklad briefed me on the Security Service of Ukraine's priorities for August," Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy also said he had instructed the SBU leadership to continue cleansing the agency's internal structure of "those who work for themselves rather than for Ukraine."
