Azerbaijan reduces rice import by 23%

From January through August this year, Azerbaijan imported 34,019 tons of rice, a drop of 23.4% from the last year.

Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee, that during the eight months of the year, the value of rice imports made $24.831 million, a 19.2% decline year-on-year.

The country's expenses on rice imports made 0.3% of Azerbaijan's total imports in the reporting period.
