Azerbaijan increases rice imports by 34%

In January-May 2023, Azerbaijan imported 33,184 tons of rice for $29.768 million, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.

According to the committee, this is 30,712 tons (34.2%) more in quantity and $9.426 million (46.3%) more in value terms than in the same period last year.

Rice imports amounted to 0.4% of the total imports of Azerbaijan in the first five months of 2023.
