Türkiye's locally-developed Yeni Altay tank ready for army tests

A new Turkish tank, Yeni Altay, is ready for test process, Report informs, citing A News.

The tank will be tested by the Turkish army for 6,000 different requirements.

450 specialists, including 250 engineers, worked on the production of Yeni Altay. Mass production of the tank depends on successful tests.

The tank, equipped with a 120-mm L55 smoothbore and a 7.62-mm coaxial machine gun, has a maximum speed of 65 kilometers per hour (40 miles per hour) thanks to its 1,500-horsepower engine.
