Putin, Security Council mull implementation of Foreign Policy Concept

Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a meeting with permanent members of the country’s Security Council, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The president proposed discussing the implementation of the provisions of the Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made a report at the meeting.
The concept of Russian foreign policy was approved by presidential decree of March 31, 2023. The document states that the armed forces of the Russian Federation have every right not only to repel an attack on Russia and its allies, but also to take preemptive action. Previous foreign policy concepts were published in the Russian Federation in 1993, 2000, 2008, 2013 and 2016.
