Peskov calls US envoys' Moscow and Kyiv talks a step toward peace

Talks by US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner in Moscow and Kyiv represent a step toward peace, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said while commenting on the US negotiators' visits, Report informs via Russian media.
"Certainly, any more or less effective efforts are one small step toward peace. We truly highly appreciate the peace efforts of the American negotiators," Peskov said.
He added that the Kremlin does not rule out the possibility of a phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump following the US negotiators' trip.
