Iran: 221 die of COVID-19 in a day

Iran has confirmed 2,079 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours in Iran, bringing the country's official number 250,458, Report says, citing Mehr.
According to Sima Sadat Lari, spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education, 221 people died of the disease over the past 24 hours, raising the overall death toll to 12,305.
Sadat Lari added that the condition of 3,324 people is critical.
The official said that situation was dire in Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kurdistan, Hormozgan, Bushehr, Razavi Khorasan, Ilam, East Azerbaijan, and West Azerbaijan provinces.
