Georgia's spring parliamentary session ends in scuffle

Georgia's Parliament has concluded its spring session.
According to Report's Georgian bureau, the final plenary meeting was devoted to the presentation of the government's annual report. During the session, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze briefed lawmakers on the government's performance over the past year.
Toward the end of the sitting, a dispute broke out in the chamber between members of the ruling Georgian Dream party and lawmakers from the For Georgia faction. The verbal confrontation escalated into a physical altercation, with deputies engaging in a scuffle.
Following the incident, the spring session of Parliament was officially closed with the performance of the national anthem.
According to available information, the autumn parliamentary session will begin on September 1. No extraordinary parliamentary session is currently planned.
