Türkiye says its vessels have safely exited Strait of Hormuz, Persian Gulf

Türkiye's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, has announced that Turkish vessels that had been waiting in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf have safely left the region.

According to Report, Uraloğlu said in a post on X that the situation in the region has been under constant monitoring since the first day in coordination with the relevant authorities.

As of June 26, he noted, all Turkish vessels that had been awaiting departure from the area had exited safely.

"A total of 15 vessels have safely left the region. Three other Turkish vessels continue their commercial operations in the Persian Gulf and have not requested to leave the area," Uraloğlu said.

He added that a total of 99 Turkish citizens are on board those three vessels. According to the minister, no Turkish ships currently operating in the Persian Gulf have requested evacuation.

Uraloğlu also stressed that efforts to ensure the safety of Turkish citizens and Turkish seafarers remain under close supervision.
