Cevdet Yilmaz says post-WWII global order appears to reverse

International institutions are seen losing influence, while the world order formed after World War Two appears to be reversing, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz said, Report informs.

Speaking at a panel held as part of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, he said Türkiye clearly feels this trend in its own region.

Yılmaz noted that risks and challenges are numerous, but new opportunities are also emerging.

He said the importance of bilateral cooperation and partnerships is steadily increasing, adding that cooperation at the global level is particularly important. He added that the role of diplomacy is clearly visible and is felt even more strongly against the backdrop of conflicts.

He recalled that Türkiye is a member of NATO and is also represented in the Organization of Turkic States.

Yılmaz said Türkiye is among the parties involved in shaping international institutions, stressing that the country supports diplomacy rather than wars, with justice and peace as its key priorities.
