Türkiye is grateful to the US authorities and US people for solidarity and support in eliminating the consequences of the devastating earthquakes, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a joint press conference on the results of the talks with US Secretary of State Blinken in Ankara.
"Most organizations and structures from the United States continue humanitarian work for supporting the citizens of Türkiye. Aid-collection campaigns continue. For all this, we are grateful to both the administration and the people of the United States," Cavusoglu said.
The head of Turkish diplomacy said that, together with a counterpart from the United States, he visited the province of Hatay in the disaster zone.
Cavusoglu further noted that the agenda of the dialogue between Türkiye and the United States is extensive, and the last personal meeting with Blinken took place just a month ago in Washington.
He noted that during today's talks they raised the issue of Türkiye's purchase of American F-16 fighters. The conflict between Israel and Palestine, assistance to Syria after the earthquake and other topical issues were also discussed.
