Armenia's population won't reach 3 million by 2050

According to the UN Population Fund, Armenia's population will decrease from 2,959,700 to 2,816,000 by 2050, said Anna Hovhannisyan, UNFPA Population, and Development Project Coordinator, Report informs, citing Novosti Armenia.
Notably, the UN forecasted it in 2019, but it gave a prognosis twice a year. New forecasts are expected in 2021, which will be a very pessimistic forecast for Armenia," he said.
The population of Armenian residents (up to 2,816,000 million), Georgia (3,517,000), and Russia (135,824,000) will decrease: "While the population of Azerbaijan (up to 11,905,000), Turkey (97,140,000) and Iran (103,098,000) will increase during this period."
