Azerbaijan's Presidential Representative on Climate Issues Mukhtar Babayev has met with Fiji's Minister for Information, Environment and Climate Change Lynda Tabuya on the sidelines of Pre-COP31.
According to Babayev's post on X, the sides discussed Azerbaijan's solidarity with Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and the importance of keeping their priorities high on the global climate agenda.
They also exchanged views on opportunities for practical cooperation and joint initiatives between Azerbaijan and Fiji, including in the context of COP31.
Babayev expressed his appreciation to Tabuya and the people of Fiji for the hospitality, attention and warm welcome extended to the Azerbaijani delegation during the visit.
