Heydar Aliyev International Airport to operate in enhanced operational mode during WUF13

In connection with the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku, Heydar Aliyev International Airport will operate in an enhanced operational mode from 15 to 25 May, according to Report.

Considering the anticipated increase in the number of international delegations and passenger traffic arriving in the country as part of the forum, additional coordination mechanisms have been implemented at the airport across operational processes, passenger services, and security measures. The objective is to ensure the comfortable, safe, and seamless movement of participants, while maintaining passenger experience at high standards.

During WUF13, Heydar Aliyev International Airport has been integrated into a dedicated transport system to facilitate more convenient movement of forum participants throughout the city. Participants will be able to benefit from seamless transport connectivity between the airport, major transport interchange hubs, accommodation venues, and the event location.

Within this framework, WUF13 Airport Shuttle Buses have been operating since 12 May and, through 24 May, provide uninterrupted service 24/7, ensuring convenient transportation for forum participants to various locations across the city. On 25 May, the buses will operate until 18:00.

Participants may use the dedicated routes operating along the following key directions:

* A5 | Icherisheher

* A6 | Sea Breeze

At the same time, the "Airport Express" (H1 line), which provides convenient transportation for passengers, continues to operate as usual, offering uninterrupted 24/7 service from 28 May and Koroglu metro stations to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

In light of the increased passenger flow, passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2–3 hours before their flight. To ensure a smoother and more efficient travel experience, the use of online check-in in advance is also recommended.
