Ukraine detains former Crimean 'minister' in Kyiv

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained former Crimean "minister" Sergey Kolobov in Kyiv after he cooperated with Russian authorities following the annexation of the peninsula.

Report informs, citing RBC-Ukraine, that after the occupation of Crimea, the detainee obtained Russian citizenship and offered assistance to the pro-Russian authorities. He was later appointed so-called "minister of fuel and energy of Crimea" in the administration created there.

The Security Service of Ukraine confirmed the detention of the official but did not name him. However, according to RBC-Ukraine's sources in law enforcement agencies, the person in question is Sergey Kolobov.

Kolobov reportedly arrived in Kyiv on personal business and was detained there by SBU officers. Law enforcement officers are carrying out further investigative actions.
