Typhoon Jolina causes $ 3.8 million in damage to Philippines

Preliminary estimates show that Typhoon Conson (Jolina) caused 193 million pesos ($ 3.8 million) in damage to the Philippines, said the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
According to CNN Philippines, the natural disaster caused severe harm to agriculture. In addition, floods in the Ilocos region damaged more than 3,000 homes, 158 of which were utterly destroyed.
Nine people, including eight fishers, were killed in the disaster. The search for nine more missing persons continues.
Another 19 people reportedly went missing in the Samar, Biliran, and Masbate provinces, five later rescued. The hurricane affected a total of 12,200 people.
