One dead, 13 hospitalized after alcohol poisoning in Iran

A mass alcohol poisoning incident has been recorded in the city of Nishapur in northeastern Iran, Report informs, citing Fars news agency.

Thirteen people were hospitalized after consuming alcohol.

The condition of seven patients is assessed as serious, and they have been connected to hemodialysis machines. Despite doctors' efforts, one person died.

An investigation is underway into the incident.
