Norway buys US fighter missiles for record $500M

The Norwegian authorities have entered into the largest deal in the history of the country with the US for the acquisition of air-to-air missiles AMRAAM-D for Norwegian F-35 fighters for about 5 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately $500 million), Report informs referring to TASS.
“This is a very important step both for enhancing Norway’s defense capabilities and for Norwegian-American cooperation,” Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram said.
He noted that the achievement of such agreements is very important in the current unstable security situation.
The missiles will be transferred to Norway until 2028 inclusive.
