Georgian analyst praises Ilham Aliyev's role in regional peace

Considering the complex processes taking place not only in the region but around the world, President Ilham Aliyev's role in peace is completely unique, Georgian political analyst Giorgi Khaindrava told Report's Georgian bureau.

According to him, President Ilham Aliyev's role is not limited to his contribution to ensuring peace in the South Caucasus.

"This is not only an important achievement in terms of securing peace in the Caucasus. At the same time, Azerbaijan's development in the post-Soviet space after the difficult period faced by Georgia and Azerbaijan is also a completely unique achievement of Mr. Aliyev," he said.

The political analyst noted that Azerbaijan"s development is closely followed in Georgia and that this policy has an important impact on regional stability.

"We highly appreciate and feel the impact of Mr. Aliyev's policy on the development of his country in the South Caucasus. We see how Azerbaijan is developing. Naturally, without peace around us, it would have been difficult to achieve the results we have today. Therefore, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's role in this matter is completely unique," he stressed.

According to Khaindrava, one of the main factors uniting Azerbaijan and Georgia is the similar approach of both countries to the policy of peace.

"I think the main point that unites us is that our countries approach and accept the policy of peace in the same way. This is very important. Therefore, the main role in achieving peace in the Caucasus, of course, belongs to Mr. Ilham Aliyev. There can be no disagreement on this issue," he said.
