Germany prepares plan to counter rogue drones, cyberattacks

Germany's Interior Ministry has drawn up a plan to strengthen defenses against unidentified drones and cyberattacks, Report informs, citing Bild.

Under the plan, mobile federal police anti-drone units would be deployed near strategically important facilities, including airports in Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, Frankfurt am Main and Stuttgart, as well as railway stations and the government district in the German capital.

The plan also calls for wider use of artificial intelligence, including facial recognition and video surveillance systems, to track potential terrorists or foreign agents.

In addition, German authorities intend to create a national cyber defense system called "Cyberdome," designed to detect and prevent attempts by hackers to penetrate the systems of government agencies or companies.
