Over the past day, Ukrainian doctors recorded 835 new coronavirus cases in the country, almost 65% higher than the previous day, when only 296 cases were identified, Report informs, citing the Ukrainian Health Ministry.
According to the Ukrainian health authorities, 33 of the newly infected were children, and 25 were health workers.
Meanwhile, 70 Ukrainians died due to COVID-related health complications, and 2,292 recovered.
Since the pandemic onset, 2,230,977 people have contracted the coronavirus in the country. To date, the country’s COVID death toll has reached 52,123, and 2,155,261 of the infected have recovered.
