International travelers impressed by Karabakh's restoration

It is encouraging to see the development and restoration of Azerbaijan's Karabakh region, international traveler from Bangladesh Raig Ridva told journalists.

According to Report, Ridva shared his impressions of the first day of his trip to the region, highlighting the scale of the ongoing restoration work.

He said he had visited Azykh Cave, where he learned about the region's historical heritage.

"It is encouraging to see how the region is developing and the restoration work being carried out here. We have already visited Azykh Cave, which allows us to connect with the ancient history of these places. At the same time, we can see how the region is being restored and developed under modern conditions," Ridva said.

He also said he had visited Hadrut as part of the trip.

"It is a very beautiful mountainous area. What I saw made a strong impression on me," he said.

Meanwhile, traveler John Vincent Francisco from the Philippines spoke about his expectations for the remainder of the three-day visit.

"I expect to learn more about Karabakh and become more familiar with different parts of the region and their history. These are my main expectations from the expedition," he said.

An international group of travelers began its visit to Karabakh and East Zangazur today. The group is led by Charles Veley, founder of the globally known Most Traveled People (MTP) club.

The delegation includes around 40 people from 13 countries, including the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The itinerary also includes visits to Albanian churches reflecting the ancient history and rich historical heritage of Azerbaijan.

This is the 17th group trip by leading international travel clubs to Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur between 2021 and 2026.

Such visits give foreign travelers an opportunity to directly observe the large-scale construction and restoration work being carried out in Azerbaijan's territories liberated from occupation.
