The scale and pace of construction of new road infrastructure in Karabakh and East Zangazur are impressive, American traveller Angela Caveney, who is visiting the region as part of an international group of travellers from the Most Traveled People (MTP) club, said.
According to Report's correspondent in Karabakh, she said this was her first visit to Azerbaijan and that she had already visited Shusha, Aghdam and the Kalbajar district.
"I was amazed by the new roads, bridges and tunnels, as well as how quickly they were built. This would be impossible in my country," the traveller said.
The traveller also visited hot mineral springs in the Kalbajar district. She said the trip had left her with positive impressions.
Speaking about Baku and other attractions in Azerbaijan, Caveney said she was particularly interested in the historic part of the capital, mud volcanoes and ancient rock carvings in Gobustan.
"Baku's Old City is very interesting, with amazing sculptures. We also visited the mud volcanoes and saw the petroglyphs. I have never seen so many rock carvings before," she said.
Today is the second day of the international group's visit to Karabakh and East Zangazur, led by Charles Veley, founder of the Most Traveled People club.
The delegation includes around 40 people from 13 countries, including the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
This is the 17th group trip by leading international travel clubs to Karabakh and East Zangazur between 2021 and 2026.
