Social infrastructure in Azerbaijan needs further investments, Stefanie Stallmeister, the country manager of the World Bank for Azerbaijan, told Report.
According to her, Azerbaijan has made tremendous progress, especially on the physical infrastructure side: "I mean great roads, railways, airports. So Azerbaijan has made great progress on that. So, I think, the social aspects, for example, education and health, need further investment. The government is paying attention to that, it is fructuous today. But both are interrelated. It is hard to say that one is more important than the other."
Stallmeister added that physical infrastructure has made great progress, and further investments in the social sector would also be important.
