Cities face interconnected risks and require integrated management policies, Sanjeevani Singh, Economic Affairs Officer in the Environment and Development Division of ESCAP (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific), said during a panel discussion at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
"Cities today face interconnected risks, including climate threats, stressed infrastructure, informal settlements, vulnerable housing, and institutional fragmentation. These challenges are becoming increasingly systemic and require comprehensive policies and integrated management," she said.
