Value of Azerbaijani central bank notes in circulation surpasses 1B manat

The value of notes issued by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in circulation has exceeded 1 billion manats ($590 million) for the first time since July 24, 2024, Report informs, citing the CBA.
The total value of the notes increased by 127.5 million manata ($75 million) compared with August 12, reaching 1.07 billion manats ($629.4 million).
The CBA has been implementing a new monetary policy since September 1, 2022. As part of this policy, alongside 28-day notes, the bank also issues 84-, 168- and 252-day notes.
Currently, the annual yields on the notes are 5.93%, 5.87%, 5.88% and 5.94%, respectively.
