Over 95,000 hectares cleared of mines since Patriotic War

About 810,000 mines and unexploded ammunition were found from 1998 (establishment of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action) to November 2020, Hafiz Safikhanov, chair of the Azerbaijan Campaign to Ban Landmines, told a press conference, Report informs.
“From November 2020 to September 1 of this year, 95,318 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance, and 93,410 mines and unexploded ordnance were found and neutralized,” he added.
