Jabrayil resident injured in anti-personnel mine explosion

A resident of Azerbaijan's Jabrayil district was injured in an anti-personnel mine explosion in Dagmashanli village, according to a joint statement issued by the press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA).
Report informs, citing the statement, that Jabrayil district resident Orkhan Ashraf oghlu Gahramanov, born in 2000, stepped on an anti-personnel mine while grazing livestock in an uncleared area.
He sustained injuries of varying severity in the explosion.
The Jabrayil District Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation into the incident.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office once again urged citizens to follow safety rules, pay close attention to mine hazard warning signs, avoid touching suspicious objects, stay away from unfamiliar areas and refrain from interfering with efforts to fence off hazardous areas.
