Firefighters battle to put out forest fire in Azerbaijan's Lerik

The firefighters of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations continue necessary measures to extinguish the fire that broke out yesterday in a mountain forest with complex terrain close to the Soru village of Lerik.
Report informs, citing the ministry, that one helicopter of the State Firefighting Service of the Ministry of Emergency, Civil Defense troops, Special-Risk Emergency Rescue Services and forces of the Southern regional center and aviation unit, employees of the Forestry center at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, are involved in the firefighting efforts.
The blaze covers dry vegetation and bushes.
Complex terrain and windy weather obstruct the works to put out the fire.
